History - An Introduction to the Company

The 20's:
In 1925 Franz Brinkmann began the production of tacks and upholstery nails in a small 5-man operation in Ense Lüttringen.
The 40's:
In 1945 his son, Caspar Brinkmann, founded an additional production facility, in which initially metal household products were produced.
The 50's:
In the 1950s BRISTA began to specialize in accessory parts for the construction sector. Significant achievements were made during the post-war period with steel basement windows. At the time these were not galvanized, but dipped in a rust-protective coating.
The 50's:
Other high-quality products soon followed, with which BRISTA developed into a competent partner for companies dealing in building material and construction equipment.
The 60's:
In the 1960s a branch with its own galvanizing plant was established in Ense-Höingen. After initial commissioning of a conventional plant, the 1970s saw BRISTA installing the first continuously producing drag chain driven hot dip galvanizing plant.
At the beginning of the 1990s the 10,000,000 th BRISTA basement window was produced!
The lasting positive economic situation of the family-run business, not to mention the optimistic expectations with regard to good sales performance in new markets of Eastern Germany and Europe, have long since been a topic at BRISTA in relation to expansion.
In 1992 the main plant in Lüttringen was closed and relocated to the company's current headquarters at the Höingen Industrial Park.
1999 saw the onset of a further investment stage. One of Europe 's most modern hot dip galvanizing plants was installed in a newly constructed 4,500 m² hall; this was officially opened by the Premier of North Rhine Westphalia at the time, Wolfgang Clement.
In 2007 BRISTA expanded its spectrum of surface finishing services at the Höingen site and invested in a 2,500 m² hall for a new, powerful facility for powder coating galvanized and non-galvanized steel and aluminium. Due to a direct connection with the existing hot dip galvanizing plant, BRISTA is now in a position to offer its customers additional corrosion protection.
