Grid welding machine
July 2010
BRISTA extends his production possibilities to the location of Hingen by the acquisition of a grid welding machine and straightening and cropping machine for the production of industrial grids and fence mats.
Industrial grids and fence mats, also called double stick mats, have two parallel running horizontal wires. The fence elements thereby receive additional stability. The wire strengths with these fence mats vary between 5 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm according to the version of the mat (light or heavy version).
Double stick mats were used first for security by trade properties and industrial properties. The heavy fence mats with wire strengths 6 mm and 8 mm were primarily erected here.
The light fence mat with the wire strengths 5 mm and 6 mm is today increasingly erected on private properties.
Double stick mats are either only galvanised after the production or galvanised and coated.
At the existing galvanizing and power coating plant established in 2007, BRISTA can offer fence mats at buyers option and in famous BRISTA quality. By the connection of three production plants in one place - grid mat production, galvanizing plant, powder coating -
BRISTA offers considerable organizational and logistic advantages!
BRISTA is therefore able to dispatch double stick mats at customer`s demand in every standard RAL colour within 48 hours!
Production chain of the grid mat:
Basic material:
The wire is delivered on so-called rosettes or coils.
Adjusting and cutting of wire:
The coils are directed from a decoiler on to an automatic wire straightening and cropping machine and are cut to the suitable length. The sticks produced now are packed in bundles and fed into the welding machine.
Welding of the wire sticks:
The wire sticks are automatically supplied after the filling of the magazine of the welding machine by the wire loading of the 51 sweat cylinders and are welded together by resistancewelding. A stack device piles the produced grid mats coil-wise together, so that these can be taken away later with the forklift.
The welding machine is based on the newest technology of mid-frequency and cocurrent flow welding with a current nominal capacity of 1,280 kVA.
The medium frequency welding reflects extremely positiv on the finished produkt due to shorter welding times, as lower heat input allows only minimal distortion.
They can be welded with a grid widths of 270- 3,050 mm and a length of 600 - 3,600 mm.
Wires can be processed from 3 mm to 8 mm.
The sales of these grid mats are exclusively to specialist suppliers for fence protection systems!
